TMYO Summer String Camp
The Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra presents our TMYO Summer String Camp! This camp will give musicians an opportunity to enrich their lives by providing an immersive musical experience. It will allow young musicians to build community through musical interactions in a fun, exciting, and encouraging environment.

The Camp
Spend 4 days engaging in an immersive orchestral strings experience. Learn new skills and become a more well-rounded musician in a fun and encouraging environment. Hurry — Space will be limited.
When: June 5th-8th
Time: 9am- 5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Early Drop-Off: 8:30am – 9am
Where: Monday- Thursday: Howard W. Blake High School,
Tuition: $300 for the week (including $50 Deposit)
Registration Opens: March 27th
Registration/Deposit Deadline: May 14th
Full Payment Due: June 1, 2022
*Bring your own lunch — snacks and drinks provided.

In addition to a summer orchestra session, this camp will offer several elective courses, including but not limited to sectionals, local area professionals, and TMYO coaches.
Improv Orchestra– Learn how to play and create arrangements by ear using only lyrics and a bass line. Bring those new skills together as a team.
Conducting- Learn the basics of conducting and discover a deeper understanding of leading an ensemble
World Drumming -Participate in an energetic and interactive African drumming session.
